Wildlife Lodge in Costa Rica — Cabuya, Nicoya
Villas Cabuya is a wildlife lodge in Costa Rica where the animals aren’t a day trip. Howler monkeys move through the trees most mornings, iguanas sun themselves beside the pool, and you can hear the jungle from bed.
You’re 1.2 km from the entrance to Cabo Blanco, the country’s oldest nature reserve, and 800 m (about a 10-min walk) from Playa Cabuya. But you don’t need to go that far — a good part of what you came to see is in the garden.

Real jungle, no crowds
Cabuya is one of the greenest, most authentic corners left in Costa Rica, well away from the crowds. The villas sit among gardens and forest, with the jungle as the background soundtrack.
The pool has a beach-style shallow entry and a lounge area, and the WiFi is 300 Mbps fibre if you need to work between hikes.
